    This is the Pacific Race that goes with the Caribbean Common Black Hawk in Costa Rica

    Photographed here at Encanta Do Vida, Matapalo, Osa

    Shot into bright back light throught he trees; the resultant speculars/white were really bad so I came up with a plan lol

    Gave the BG a double dose of hard Gaussian and I think it worked good?

    1/400 100-400 AT 250 F 5.0 iso 800 eV +.33 Av mode spot AF

    Very nice exposure, Richard and while the BG is a bit busy, the bird stands out well.

    Excellent image of Black Hawk in habitat. I like the pose ,lights and details on Hawk.
