Took this the other day whilst touring round Scotland in the UK. I always seem to find it difficult photographing against the sky, but I'm fairly happy with this shot.
Canon 7D, 100-400mm, ISO640, TV priority, 1/2000 ss, F5.6
Any advice on improvements to my processing as always, really appreciated.
Hi Simon, I like the diagonal flight pose in the frame, and well exposed on the underwings. The kite pops nicely from the lighter sky. Is this a captive bird with those 'markings' on each wing.
Thanks Stuart for the comments. No, this is a wild bird. In the UK these birds tend to be tagged so they can be identified. I believe the colour is specific to certain locations, but I can't be certain.
