Went up to the Dales in the UK to try to photograph These Dippers, fascinating little birds that I could watch all day as they feed on the river, unfortunately as I arrived at 6.00am it started to rain and rained the whole day, this coupled with the fact that the river is at the bottom of the gorge made for a "challenging" day. despite a 500 mile round trip I enjoyed myself and will return to try again hopefully when the sun is shinning
Thanks Satish, I would have liked to crop a little more, though I am a great lover of space and natural environment, but due to the almost non existing light they are a bit noisy
I agree with a tighter crop, not so much to concentrate just on the subject, but more than you have here as there is excessive amount of empty space IMO. Perhaps at lleast to above the OOF band along lower dege, and then at left to retain the ratio. I would also tone down the bright area in ULC. Lastly, I wish the subject had turned its head the other way. Great environment, great looking bird, good exposure...and most of all, you had a great time doing it!!
