After a long break, it was great spending a couple hours in the field past weekend.
Here's a male painted bunting - one of the most colorful/striking birds around.

Sweet image. The graduated BG sets it off very well. Beautiful species.

These birds are so beautiful, you did this one proud! I really like the pose here and the gradient BG is awesome. Nice angle on the perch leads my eye to this colorful fellow. Looks like he was fighting a bit of a breeze.

Hi Sid, I like the diagonal perch, and how the bunting is leaning down the line of the perch. Lovely soft light which in turn has brought out the colours nicely. Love the two tone BG too.

Beautiful bird, comp, colours, BG. I too like the ruffled feathers. I'd be tempted to remove the subtle line across the lower part of the body (web?).

Great that you finally managed some time for photography!!

Stunning ,Sid. Striking colours , beautiful pose and perch and lovely HA.
Agree with Daniel about the subtle line across the body.
Ruffled feathers add to the image.
