    Hi and hello,
    photographed this Openbill in Katziranga NP in Assam,we had not really luck weatherwise but sightings have been great.

    EOS 1D Mark IIn
    EF 500 IS L + 1,4 TC
    Tripod on back of gypsy

    F 5,6 / 1/1000sec / ISO 400 70% of FF

    Processed in DPP and PS

    Comments good or bad are welcome .
    Please look carefully at IQ and sharpness.

    Lovely one legged stance, nice bg and HA.
    Wish the vertical part of the perch on the left wasn't there.
    Very cool bird, and nice image.

    Vertical format and comp work well here. The post on the left helps to anchor the photo. You have a nice background and head angle.

    Neat subject, great IQ, and apt vertical comp. I'm OK with the vertical part of the perch but I am not a big fan of the amputated limb below, and as such I would crop to just a bove its' end. I would also fill in the white area at upper left corner (the rest of the BG looks very nice). Love the raised leg tucked close to the body.

    Daniel if i crop it as you suggest i think it is a bit tight to bottom and tip of the toe??!!

    No, I don't mean to crop along the bottom of the horizonatl perch, but rather at the very top of the round cut-off part (or the very tip of the "triangle" BG part in lower left corner...)
