    Default Cattle Egret with Golden Breeding Plumage.

    April.2012. Cropped and sharpened.OOF black spots in front of neck are cloned. Eye is brighten. Like to know your opinion about HA.

    Canon EOS: 550D, 100-400.
    Av mode,F:6.3.,1/1200,ISO:200, Evaluative metering, White balance: Auto. HH.
    Exposure bias: +0.3 stop.

    I like the head angle. I might take some off the top and right side. It also seems a bit too saturated or dark. Not sure what. Beautiful details.

    HA works for me, bg is nice too. The shadows are hurting this image a bit imo and I see some dark halo around the crown. The lighter streak from the top left to the bill may be eliminated (if you're so inclined) too.

    The HA is fine (as is the comp), but looks like in post you tried to over-compensate for harsh light and gave a muddied look to the image. Also needs refining in the masking when working on the BG, as evidenced around the fine plumes atop the head and longer neck feathers below.

    You have a good looking subject and I like the vertical presentation and composition. The light is quite harsh and I see a strong halo above the egret's head feathers and around its beak where it appears you may have done some work.
