Behind again...
Well, a peacock's behind anyway!I was discouraged from posting this image because the JPEG compression hammered the detail when I made it small enough to post (50 quality).
But when I went back and looked at it I decided it didn't have to be all about detail and that the colors and patterns would carry the image. I hope I wasn't wrong! Nix Color FX Pro plus a couple of Topaz filters, like Detail and Adjust. I really enjoy images that have an organic origin, but a graphic look.

Looks like your inspiration was recalling the 60's and all that transpired.
Agree, detail isn't always the image. Sometimes the patterns and colors make it work as well. Nice one.

I knew immediately this was the south end of a peacock going north! I really like that "simmering" look of the greens at the base as they explode upward.
