I think this one is my favorite pose so far. Love the that wing position and the angle works so well. You have a lovely pastel BG. The only issue I see is a slight magenta cast which can easily be remedied.

    Dan:
great pose as Marina mentioned, whites on head look better than last post, nice background.

I would a a little room all the way around if you have it.

    Cheers

Terrific shot, Dan. Love the wing position, poised talons, and the beautiful background. I might be tempted to run another round of NR on the lovely BG, and maybe take down the highlights on the bird just a tad; but I'd love to have this one in my files, just as is.

Hi Dan, I thought your previous image was tops, but they get better each posting. Fantastic wing poition, sharp, and against a killer BG. I agree with Randy for more space all round. Congrats on a fine image.

    Great post and tact sharp.

I too would like to see some more room on top, bottom and left side.

I like the subject, pose and the nice BKGR.

You have achieved a large DOF for f5.6, maybe it is cropped a little. If so I would add some canvas back to give a little more space around the subject.

    Cheers

I like the wing position, details, sharpness and BG. A little more room all around would be nice. Well done Dan!

Wonderful wing position, and this background is beautiful. Other issues are easy fixes.

Thanks for the comments, I did not notice the magenta caste (that is why I like others to view and point stuff like that out).
    I appreciate it.
I did crop it very tight for something different.
It is a very large crop (maybe 15% of original) so I have more room and several different versions.

Excellent pose and great bg. Did you say 15% of original (at iso 1400, no less)? Wow, the D800 sounds like a great camera!
