I got this Ash-throated flycatcher at a Wildlife Management Area near Childress TX. It was taken just as the sun peaked over the hillside.

Very nice all around image. I love that look back that you are getting with the nice light. A very complimentary BG. I might be tempted to crop a little off the left side to get the bird out of the center. Well done.

Beautiful bg and I'm a fan of barbed wire perches. THe bird's raised crest is nice as his look back at you.

A pleasing image of a handsome bird. Nice light and framing. I agree it needs a bit more sharpening.

I would also suggest local contrast enhancement. I tried it and was please at the following setting. USM on a BG copy at 30-60-0 with opacity at 50%.

I would agree with the sharpening. The barbed wire and near center comp does not bother me. I like it.

Thanks for the tip Robert. I am not all that good at photoshop but after I figured it out, it looked much better! Thanks everyone else for the comments.
