    Hi

One really hard bird to get a shot like this, clever fast and seldom in the open
Lives in small area of CR where this was taken, near Puerto Viejo.
perhaps one of my fav birds; enjoy

Good DOF and clear look at this guy.I like the direct gaze.
Some will find the BG a bit busy but I am OK with this natural environment. I might select the BG and tone down the brightness a bit.

Another new bird for me. I rarely get to the carribean side when I'm in CR. I like the eye contact and DOF. I would tone down the BG as well.

    Thanks Jim and Gail

BG always are difficult for me as I just walk the wild tracks and take them as they come
I love to do that. Jim I am pleased to show you some you havent seen; I wonder if you have a nemesis bird - mine would be Snowy Cotinga!

The busy BG is evenly busy, so it works for me. Head looks a bit soft to me. Stunning and difficult species to get.

I have to admit that the BG works for me too! I would have loved for this guy to have turned its head to our right to have its bill flow the same direction as the two thicker branches, but from the sounds of it this is a tough one to get so kudos on that!
