    taken the other day,on my local river,cannon 7D,500mm caannon IS L USM,700mm,tripod,cropped,touch sharpening,removed some bird droppings.iso400,F5.6,1/250s.comments good or bad.

    Hi Chris, one of my favourite marine birds. The whites look fine and I feel you could try and tease a bit more from the blacks. Great view of the eye and colours on his bill. I would run a touch of NR on the BG too. His 'perch' is a tricky one. Levelling it may cause the OC to lean forward. so its best as is.

    It looks like what we call a Pied Oystercatcher in my part of the world, more side on would possibly be better but I love that eye contact

    Beautiful image. Even though HA is not what we look for.Very nice eye contact.Nice colors too.
