I stopped at the roadside to photograph this wheat field and then later tried to see what I could do with color efex to enhance it. I ended up liking what low key and bleach bypass did to the original which i will also post .

I like the colors and effect you got using color efex, but have to admit there's nothing at all wrong with the original...nice image

Bob, I love them both! I could see a third version with some diffusion or an Orton effect. Very nice image (images).

Bob, Both images are really nice. I like what the Bleach Bypass filter did to the wheat.

I agree with the others, both of these are good. I like the composition, the texture, and the unexpected juxtaposition of the wheat and daisies.

Way to shoot it when you see it, Bob, like the contrast between the wheat and daisies, with nice details, texture for eye to enjoy.

Beautiful composition and effect, Bob. I am with others on both being equally good. TFS.

I guess its unanimous, because I also like them both. I' thinking it may look also look nice as b&w...The textures and tones are beautiful in both your versions. Nice find!

I'm not going to be the naysayer. Both images are excellent. I like the first one for the sense of depth that's created in the wheat but I like the second for the color connection between the wheat and the daisies (the yellows, obviously but also the green daisy stems and the green tint in the wheat spikelets).
