Butterfly was flying against a glass wall with sun behind the glass. PP: blurred around the butterfly and used Nik CEP to enhance the colors and detail of the wings in motion.

It's great to have something like this that's out of the box in a different way from what we're used to seeing. I like the colors throughout, and the backlighting is wonderful. I'd love to see what you started with.

Here it is. I set everything in Bridge to default and then let Image Processor make the attached file. I didn't realize how bad it looked before working on it.

Wow, you really changed the look of that. It's great that you were in the right place at the right time. With a camera, no less. The wing blur is amazing. I'd never expected it to be quite like that. Thanks for posting this version.

Hi Douglas, a lovely butterfly, quite the transformation from the original. Nicely blurred!

Douglas, the original capture has a softness that I like. You created a piece of art with it!

Wonderful, out of the box creative composition, Douglas. Blur works very nicely, and like how you brought out the vibrant blue color.

Thanks all for your very kind comments. I'm glad you liked the final result - thanks to a lot of cropping and a little time with PS6.

I really like this, the blurred wings are cool, and you can make out just enough detail of the butterfly...well done
