Hi Carel, very nice diagonal perch and very nice composition. I would crop just a little from the upper left corner and clone over the dark spot on the right (if you're OK with that kind of image manipulation), it keeps drawing my eye away from the subject.

Excellent Carel, superb focus and DOF, I like the composition as it is, exposure and background look good to me.

    Hi Jerry
I clone but rarely in the background.
'm no fan of clones in the background.
    or actually cloning in general.
I love more pictures where no clone work is done.

HI Carel....I like this as is.....no need to clone here....A nicely composed and sharp image. You might consider loading a low opacity brush with some of the green near the dark spot on the right and just lightly paint over the dark spot to make the bg more even and less distracting....but as is its really a fine image!

Fantastic Carel! I can see great points in the recommendations above but I too like it as is!

Hi Carel. Very nice comp and excellent sharpness throughout. The mites on the female add interest (for me at least ). This is very well done!

Carel, this looks great! The comp couldn't be any better, the subjects and perch are nice and sharp and in general, the BG looks good as is. I can see merit in lightening that dark patch on the right side....if it were mine, I'd use the soft, low opacity brush method mentioned by Bob.
