Awesome Dan. Really does show up their magnificent wingspan. Love the BG and its colors.A bit more shutter speed would have gotten the wing tips sharp but I also like it this way, with the sense of motion apparent in the blurring.

Excellent Capture! I agree with Melisa - a little more speed would help the wingtips. How does the D800 do at ISO 1200+?

Dan this is super, the pose and outspread wings are excellent. I would try add a bit more contrast to try make the bird pop a little more.

Excellent pose nice and sharp, my first impression was also that a little more contrast would help.

You are really getting the most out of this nest.
    Great title!
Love the BG green and blue. Tack sharp head and body. Nice light.

    Dan:

Beautiful 3D effect, real sense of depth here. Sharp centrally, well exposed, nice angle in frame. Nice display of talons.

You are making the most of this opportunity!

    Cheers

Excellent...what a beauty of a background you have here!! Great pose. The top of the head is pushing hot (if it is not already), but all else is top notch. Congrats!

Dan, you nailed the bird at an excellent angle against a great BG. loved the amount of blur there. subject separation and feel...both are there. wonderfull!

    this is nice Dan!
I might add a hint more contrast (especially midtone) and some sharpening to boot...

Hi Dan, excellent landing pose against a killer BG. Nothing more to add than the others above, except to say that I feel this is one of your best. Great work.
