The Micanopy Cemetary is quite old and this is my favorite monument there. I used Nik Viveza, then an Orton effect, then Topaz Clean and finally Topaz B&W Hand Tinted Chiffon .
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Right away, when I look at this, it's a wonderful image. The colors, the perspective, and what seems like a respectful restraint in the way it was processed are immediately apparent. But there are other less obvious elements that contribute as well. The branches of the left background trees point the viewer to the figure on the monument. The smaller grave markers in the background add to the sense of place and, also, suggest that the cemetery is quite old. The amount of brown in the lower part is nicely proportioned with regard to the height of the image. The dead leaves on the ground is a very subtle, but probably important, part of the feeling you've portrayed. Very, very nicely done.

I like it. It feels ghostly. Dennis, I agree with your "less obvious elements" comment and I'll add another. The curvy tree trunks and the soft processing of said trunks create a "rising to the heavens" aura and adds to the ghostly atmosphere.

What a great image and processing. I agree with Dennis comments also. Micanopy has certainly provided you with a wealth of subjects. I think you could easily do a book from your images. Wish I could see it live in person .

Thanks everyone for your comments - I appreciate them. Micanopy is small but it is packed with treasures. If any of you come to Florida and want to visit Micanopy just let me know and I'll show you around

The processing and composition are so complementary to the subject, beautiful image.

Another stellar image Cheryl! I love the composition with the curvy tree, and the Orton effect and processing is perfect!
