    Default Lion moving Wildebeest kill

A morning image on safari in Tanzania. One of a series of images of a group of lions eating a recent kill. At some point the safari vehicles were so dense the lioness in the image decided to move the kill. She worked at it for several minutes before getting into a bunch of dense bushes. I like the feeling of muscles struggling to move a heavy object.

You do get a feel for the effort being put forth to move this.

As Steve and Gus said, great behavioral shot.

    Mike,

I like the action and framing - you captured that well.

May I suggest adding a bit of punch by increasing the contrast using USM on a BG copy at 30-60-0 for a local contrast enhancement.

An interesting behavior photo, Mike. I agree with Robert that more contrast would give it more punch. You might consider cropping some of the bottom to help focus your eye even more on the action.

Good timing and behavior. I agree about the crop and the increase contrast comments.
