    Joel....These are my favorite backyard birds and your photo is just perfect. Everything has been handled well. sharpness, head lookback, perch, feather detail. Congratulations! I wish it were mine!

    Joel,
    Regal for sure, there are a couple of opportunities IMO. For example a small crop from the bottom and bright spot in the ULHC. Real solid DoF for f/5.6 was the sensor on the neck area or eye. As always I am a fan of your work because the subjects are always shown in beautiful form - you find the best in each bird - great eye for form, gesture and color........keep em coming!!!

    Hi Joel, I could copy and paste my comments from almost any of your posts. My only comment on this one is that I would add a bit of saturation to really bring out the blue. The jays are cool birds, we have the scrub jays and Steller's out here (gray jays if you go to Colorado) and they are always entertaining. They will eat out of your hand if you have something yummy like a peanut.
