LR4 RC2 crashes frequently on windows? but not apple?

FYI, LR4 RC2 is necessary for me as I have the 5dMKIII. Running windows 7 64 bit on a pretty powerful machine with 21 GB RAM. Having frequent crashes as are many people per the Adobe forums. RC does mean release candidate I know. Interviews with Apple users have yet to turn up even one person having the crashes. Curious whether any here has NOT had the crashes on windows? Everyone is looking for clues to fix the problem so thought I would ask here.

We have of course had the machines checked out thoroughly by techs. have the latest drivers. have uninstalled and reinstalled....Uninstalled this program (ie quicktime) and such all to no avail.

Also never had a single crash on any other version/release going back to LR2

UPDATE...LR4.1 was released yesterday and knock on wood -not a single crash yet!
