This is one of the highly photographed vista in Yellowstone NP. I wanted to try something different... I went low on the boardwalk to capture the partial microbial pigments and patterns. For processing, used adjustment layers for selective colors and saturation and then applied multiple layers of fract... applied masks on the layers and painted over to create the effect. Hope you like it...

Beautiful flow and colors to the image. Frac'ing adds some nice highlights and drama. I'-m not sure about bright green in the upper right, and might have made it more subdued, if it were mine. Your call. Really nice photo.

I very much like the curve and the colors. The intensity of the green seems appropriate to me. It's at about the same level as the orange. The fact that green and orange combine to make brown works especially well for this image.

I'd have flipped this horizontally because the curves, then, help to keep the viewer's eyes in the image instead of directing them out of it. It's fortuitous that the brighter green is on the left when that happens, thereby helping to direct the eyes up to the left corner.

Indranil, the fractalius almost makes it look like it's in motion, particularly in the center - I can see steam rising and swirling. And I love the colors

Indranil, I love the look of this. The colors and curves are special. I might tone down the highlights in the foreground if I were you.

Wonderful, interesting compostion, Indranil. It does look like a lava flow, love the vibrant colors, lines, textures and your fract treatment is a nice touch.

Late to the party, Indranil, and some good suggestions made; I'd deepen the green in the background and tone down the foreground highlights as suggested...love the comment about this evoking the illusion of a lava flow. It is an incredible sight, one of the many wonders of YNP, and you've done a wonderful job interpreting it!

Thank you all for the comments. I appreciate it.

I typically don't get a chance to edit images when on road and off-late I have traveling every week on business! So here is a repost with the suggested changes...

Dennis, I like your observation on the flow direction and here is a repost for comparison...
