I took this image last week in the backyard. The male and this female were there for only one day. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Excellent picture, Jim. I like the nice clean background and the pose is nice. Maybe a tiny bit more room around.

nice pose and BG. I agree with more room needed- Looks like this might have been a large crop initially so it would help there too.

The BG is great, also like the head angle, agree with comments above, the bird is too tight.

Hi Jim, tight comp works for me. I would add a bit more contrast, find the image a bit flat.

The female of this species is lovely, and you caught her very nicely. Maybe just a little tight in the frame; and I was also thinking a little more contrast would help, before Vivaldo beat me to it.

Hi Jim, super pose, and just love the perch curving out the frame. Im fine with the comp as is. Good DOF, sharp, and with a lovely clean BG.

Great BG and nice head turn, I would tend to agree on more room on left and bottom.

Like your repost with increase in contrast, but original was good as well. Tight Comp is fine with me.

Agree with Bill Dix on upping the contrast. Repost does the trick.

Repost looks better IMO. Would tone down the bright area in the BG.

Excellent Pose and light, good exposure control, nice comp and good ambient.
