    Default Plumbago composition

I had envisioned doing this image on the Light table using individual hydrangeas but I couldn't find any this weekend that weren't past their prime so I used Plumbago flowers from my yard. I experimented with focus stacking and HDR in camera (with my new 5DMkIII - which I love). This was an HDR image that I used Fract. Impress. and then Sketch, did a Vignette with Nik Color Efex to change the background color slightly and then added a border from Nik Color Efex.
I think I might like this better using the focus stacking image but I haven't stacked one yet so I'll have to wait and see how different it looks.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated

Cheryl, this is beautifully thought out...the arrangement, the use of the light table for back-lighting, the processing and subtle coloring....this would make a beautiful large print on canvas, or a gorgeous notecard...so many possibilities... and you knew the name of your flower, unlike one particular photographer today who shall go unmentioned! Wonderful image!

I really like this, Cheryl. The range in blues is wonderful, and I'm sure you worked some magic with the light box. (I'm a great fan of back lighting, and a previous posting of yours made me investigate light boxes. Now, I'm going to have to look into it, again.) As I looked at the image, I wondered if a bit more room between the petals and the bounds of the blue background would be a good, so I tried it out. The little bit of additional space made it look even better in my opinion -- perhaps because the eye could move more easily around the flowers.

I'm a newbie to this site (Thanks, Jay) and have no real experience or expertise in this type of photography but I know a beautiful image when I see one and this is a beautiful image. Thanks for sharing.
