    I went out on Saturday with this shot in mind. I'm fairly pleased with the effect, but of course would value your more professional opinions. I hope you like it anyway.

    Canon 7D, Canon 100mm IS Macro Lens, f8, ISO 100, 1/4000 ss.

    I would be very pleased too Simon. The image shows a lot of artistic thought and I personally don't think it could be improved other than to adjust the post processing to remove the halo around the flower (how did it get there?).

    Simon, you should be pleased with this...it's a very nice natural effect! Although I love this as is, I'd be curious to know how a shot from a slightly lower angle would have turned out....just low enough to remove about 25% of the sunburst.

    Nice idea and I like the feel. I would have tried smaller aperture and maybe a bit of flash to see what turns out.

    Thanks all for the kind words and comments. Off in Scotland at the moment photographing the wildlife there, so hopefully post some more images soon. Thanks
