    Default Bird on a Rope

Just shot this today at the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, OH.
At one pond, they have some rope going from tree to tree.
From that rope, there's roughly 6 feeders hanging, each filled
    with different feed.

I "think" this is a Wren?

Do you really think this is a wren? It's a beautiful male Purple Finch. Love the colors and sharpness. The wire is small enough not to overwhelm the bird. The BG is very complimentary as well. Nice job!!

I have no clue what it is :)

I always have to tell people, I photograph them...I don't id them :)

Unless its a robin, those I know.

Got lucky with the background since the feeders were in the woods.

The funny thing is, they have benches, but they face east, directly into the
sun. So I ended up shooting from the ground, filled with all of these thorns.

I'm still pulling thorns out of my...well....you know.

Nice looking image, pleasing background w/o overly bright spots. The lights a bit harsh but handled well. Some fill-flash might have helped to lower the contrast by filling the shadows.

Thanks Robert. Returned to the scene of the crime today with my flash. Dialed in
some fill at -3 and the images look alot better. Of course, the finch never came
    back.

Nice job Doug, I like the detail and the soft pastel color is sweet.
