    Ken -
nice one you got here.all fits for me in general, but i would slightly lift the mid tones a tad,so nothing major.

the comp works and OOF flowers do not bother me.

    Cheers Andreas

    Hey Ken,
Nice pose and head turn back into the frame on this one, does a good job of capturing the always vigilant nature of these animals. I like all the OOF vegetation and especially how smoothly it recedes into the BG. This seems a little dark and flat to me. I hit it with a touch of S/H and contrast in PS, seemed to add a little pop (subjective as always )

Ken - nice pose and detail. I agree that it looks a little flat. Oof flowers are fine.

    Thanks everybody for your comments.

I have to confess that I am bewildered by the "flat" comments, I can only presume it is the difference from different monitors?

Maybe "dark" is a better description. Always personal preference, but brightening this one up livens it up a bit for me. Adding just a touch of contrast to counteract the brightening also helps. Can post an example of what I'm seeing if you like.

    Hi Ken,
just think about different people, screens ,different eyes of people, different color perception. This all makes different comments,i think. So i think we should be not too critical with the commits we get.As long as not all the commenters go in the same direction,i personally go the way that i think ok this person XY view of the image . I have may be another one,but thats ok,at least for me.

    Cheers Andreas

    Steve,

Please feel free to do a re-post.

    Andreas,

As you say everybody sees colour differently then of course there is the monitor and the browser. I did not criticise the critiques I merely commented on them

    Hi Ken,
Trying to get out of the reposting business and I normally enjoy your images as posted, but here's my go at what I'm seeing. Be interested to know if you see any difference/improvement. Also like to know if its accurate to what you actually shot it in.

    Steve,

I can now see what you mean
The day was quite dull and we had a minor sand storm blow through the sighting so the light was very variable.
    I actually prefer yours

Glad it's not to far off base. Just opened up S/H and kept default shadow boost in shadows and a little USM for contrast, nothing more.
