    Hi There

    Shot of "Avon" at HCT flying on a sunny day in front of the wet weather shelters which were in deep shadow, hence the black background.

    Again using the 300 f2.8 which is a razor sharp lens, and the MKIII was able to nail focus on the birds face very well.

    Great image John,
    good detail on wings and love the dark background... would like to see just a tad more room on the top of the frame...:D

    Ahhhh....such a beauty. Two of my favorites......a black BG and a Barn Owl. Wonderful detail on the underneath side of the wings. I think the composition is ok for this one.....not an easy one frame. Well done. Someday I would love to get to the UK to see this show......and I would be happy just to see the Barn Owl.

    I really like the black BG. I would prefer to see both eyes lookng at you, but that is just being picky.
