    Default Red Kite (Milvus milvus)

Not having many experience in BIF, here is a Red Kite (Milvus milvus) I toked yesterday.
If you don't mind, please give me some advices about the composition and position in the frame, and of course some other critics.
I have 1/8000 of a sec at f/5.6, because he was in a tree and I was taking some pictures, suddenly he took of and only had time to change exposure.

    Humberto:

BIF are lots of fun, lots of challenges. Nice subject here. In general, the pancake image, with the wings straight across isn't terribly effective, but the widely splayed primaries help add interest.
He is looking 'straight down the barrel' in the first image, so a centered comp. works, and I like him off the horizontal centerline as well.

The second image was far more appealing to me, because of the sky, angle in frame. I will need to remove the second image from this post, but please be sure to post it again in its own thread, when your time limitation allows.

    Cheers

    Randy

    Humberto:

The second one is the stronger of the two, and I would def. repost it on the site tomorrow! People often don't follow links off the site.

    Cheers

Nice incoming pose, and yes the spread primaries are a fun touch. 1/8000s. was a bit overkill and for this pose a pano-ish may work if like experimenting with non-standard ratios. As Randy says, BIFs are fun, so keep at it and looking forward to more.
