    Default Goliath on Behemoth

    Attached Images Attached Images

Captured last weekend in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, South Africa.

This guy (Goliath Heron) was scared to get his feet wet and was hunting off the backs of the hippos (behemoths). Only in Africa...

Morkel, maybe she was afraid of crocodiles, or even sharks :)
Like the situation you capture here, also like the plants in the water, IMO maybe a little bit of room on the top.

    Morkel:

Fascinating behavior here. I know hippos are herbivores, but with their history of being rather nasty, I don't think I would want to cross them!

Well exposed. Because the reflection is of modest quality, I would personally crop up from the bottom to just above your current sig. line.

    Made me chuckle.

    Cheers

I agree about cropping up and adding at the top if you have it.
    Very cool image though, Morkel.
    Only in Africa, indeed!

Great image of Goliath in nature. I like the pose , expression of the bird and it's shadow on Hippo's back .

Neat, what a very cool opportunity you had!! I agree with the crop suggestion by Randy, and I think the image may need a bit of CCW rotation?
