    Default Feeding the Baby

Here's a shot from Elephant Head that I was really hoping to get. I observed a baby House Finch begging for food repeatedly during my time at the pond. Thankfully for this frame, the baby picked a nice perch with a clean BG to do its begging. I was also fortunate that it was a handsome male that did the feeding. My last bit of luck was that I had my camera set for flight and was shooting wide open with a fast shutter speed; both birds compensated for my shallow DOF by being in my precise plane of focus.

    Doug:

A lot of different factors had to come together on this one to make it succeed, and they did. Nice action, techs, perch, BG, being prepared.

    Cheers

Hi Doug, well timed for the feeding behaviour, and I like the overall detail on both birds. The colours on the male stand out nicely, and an interesting looking perch.
