Drove more than 3 hours this morning hoping to have another session with this bird. Tide was perfect, light was awesome but the birds weren't there.... Got in the car and drove another 3 hours back....
This is the essence of bird photography - you never know.....
This image was taken in the previous session about two weeks ago. The Beach Stone Curlew was displaying this aggressive display when it was attacked from the air by a Masked Lapwing. The encounter happened so quickly that I only realised I got this image when I downloaded the card to my computer...
