    Default Attached at the Bill

Getting ready for Loon Season here in northern Vermont. Found this one from a late Fall session with 6 Loons hanging out before their exit from VT. Lots of relaxed behavior post breeding season.

    Bob:

I always enjoy the loon images. Interesting that yours show no molting that late in the season. By mid August, ours already have sig. molting around the bill.

Good exposure with excellent detail in the ribbing on the breast.

The image needs a bit of CW rotation.

Wish the two bills didn't merge.
A little eye doctor work on the catchlights would improve the apparent sharpness of the birds, esp the front bird.

    Cheers

Great interaction, well exposed. Too bad the bills overlap.
