Well it's taken two months for me to think about starting to work through the images taken with Jamie and the late, Todd Frost. However I feel a fitting tribute to Todd who be to post one from the days shoot, today on what would have been his birthday, we were both the same age.

Here's one for you bud, wherever you are.

Hi Steve, great to see you posting on 'this side' and certainly a different snowy image from the norm. The 'focus' is on the open bill, and we can clearly see all his tonsils nicely - oodles of detail there. Overall, well exposed too. It was a shock to have heard about Todd at the time.

    Steve:

    Sad story about Todd.

The image itself is fun, nice behaviour captured. Sharp, well exposed, interesting perch.

Glad the entire head is below the horizon line.

    Cheers

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and feel it is nice of you to post in his honor. I really like the perch and agre about the horizon line.

That is quite the agape bill! I like that the closed eyes are still visible. Nice vertical composition, and well exposed. Glad you found it in you to work on the images...

Great image and the symmetry is a major asset of this photo....While many are far more qualified than me, I would say perfectly exposed showing all the detail....and the view down the throat is incredible
