Mark, I really like this. The colors are great, I like the background with the black framing and I like the leaf in the URC - it gives it a 3D effect. Nice work

Very nice soft light and color, Mark. Like how your processing worked on the top part of flower, just wish for some more of that effect and detail on the lower part.

Mark, I'm on the fence about the leaf in the URC. In a way I like it nd in a way it seems distracting. The effect on the flower is pleasing.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Cheryl, the leaf was what caught my eye when I processed this. While it could have been taken away, I think it adds to the depth of the image, with the flat BG of the muted leaves. Appreciate your seeing the same.

Beautiful composition & rich color. Your processing was subtle. It glows.

Thanks Mitch for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Our trip to Ft Desoto was more of a scouting outing, as my wife took her time getting up and therefore we were there in the late morning timeframe. But I wanted to view the areas and see what could be. The fort was interesting, but it was HOT and HUMID!!! One of the worst days for humidity that I can remember down here. We saw a few Pelicans and gulls along with the family of Osprey that I have posted today and will share anther image of the parents later. Not being familiar with the best days there, I don't want to rate it, as we did not try for images as I would like to, but i suspect that it was an off day. We will go back, but it will be earlier in the day next time and/or stay for sunset.
