    Lately I been attempting more fly shots than usual, love the challenge. This species has prove particular difficult to get any close shots, at least to me. I watched two Norther Harriers for almost three hours in Viera wetlands flying around, and trying to figure the flying patterns, but I was not able to predict which spot they will fly close by.

    1DMKII, 500mm f/4
    1/2000, F7.1, ISO 200, Hand held, large crop

    Like the diagonal composition. Would lighten face and underwings a little. Not sure about the crop but 3:2 doesn't seem to work for me here - how about 5:4?

    Nice pose and angle. Maybe a bit more sharpening.

    Confusing posting and re-posting; I was trying to figure out who the heck was talking about what... IAC, I like the image at the top best. You did well in spite of the bird flying away from the light.

    Sorry for the confusion, I just wanted to remove the original image from the thumbnail, it did look awful on the thumbnail, not that it looked any better on the full size.
