A decided rarity in Nova Scotia, particularly in this high breeding plumage, this bird recently spent a few days at a local marsh.

D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S, 1.7TC. Tripod. ISO1600, 1/100, f6.7. Dull and cloudy, early morning. Mild crop. Some levels, local sharpening, nr, local sat. adjustments.

    Thanks for comments.

Agree with Arash. Was this a large crop?

Hi, it was only a moderate crop. But it may be that I had to use a high ISO in the poor light, that led to noise, so I probably overdid the noise reduction in pp.
