Thats one sweet image Jan...Not sure if a slightly different background colour might present the bird a little better but I would love it as is anyway..

    jan:

Striking bird, sharp, well exposed, I like the lines of the body and perch.

To reduce the dominance of the BG color, you could certainly crop tighter here if desired.

    Cheers

Hi Jan, I cant understand why you dont like this pose, I feel its works well. This guy certainly has a variety of colours, sharp, and I dont mind the colour of the BG, but would maybe tone it down a touch.

Beautiful background, colours, techs. This image would have presented itself well as a vertical IMO, with a bit more room top and bottom too.

I really like the colors and personally love the BG color. I like the curve of the body line as well. I would crop a bit tighter from the left,

Beautiful bird, perch and BG! I would darken the entire image though. It's a bit bright to me.

Beautiful bird and nicely captured. I like the pose, and the colors are gorgeous. I, too, thought the brightness on the bird could be knocked down just a tad.

I like Daniel's suggestion of a vertical presentation but I'm guessing this is close to full frame.

yes, besically FF. I made some verticals, but like this pose better in horizontal :)

Might add I really like the slow transition of focus to slightly OOF from the tip of the perch to the base.
