This is my first image of this bird. Drove 2 hours north of Sydney this morning and was lucky to have this beauty passing by me for few a few seconds.

Well lit and sharp. Nice HA and smooth water. Very nice picture, Ofer.

    Ofer:

Always fun to get a new one, esp. one this beautiful. I like the smooth water, bow wake, exposure and sharpness.

Personal taste, I would crop up from the bottom to eliminate the second reflection of the head.

    Cheers

Beautifully lit image - I like the way the blue sky reflects on the bow wave and the wake. Something to aspire to!

Nice to get your first one; be careful though - they are addictive!

Hi Ofer, excellent perspective, and I like the colours of the grebe and sharp details. I also like the colours of the water, and agree to maybe take some off the bottom. Congrats on getting your first of this species.

Another beauty. Perfectly exposed. I would just take a bit off the bottom.

Great capture , Ofer !! I hadn't realised that you hadn't imaged the species before so congratulations !! Like the image a lot as is but agree a version with a little from bottom would be worth a try as well.

I would love a shot at one of these. You had an opportunity and did a great job seizing it. I really like the low angle and the wave created in front.
