    Default Tiny runner

    Folks,

Greetings. This is an old one from several years ago. Now that I have a tilt/shift lens, I find that this effect is in some ways more easily post-processed than captured.

    Thanks for looking...

Hi, Michael, I like this. I don't really understand tilt/shift but this is a pleasing image. I was trying to think of who had posted a tilt/shift image on the water (San Francisco?) before - was it you?

Beautiful "miniature" image, Michael. I love how the runner stands out from the drab landscape. In fact, the landscape almost looks sepia toned. Very nicely done!

Nice job with the composition. Christopher's observation about the landscape is, I think, one of the keys to this image. It is not only the difference in sharpness but also the contrast in color that highlights the runner.

Michael, nice job with this one. It's not a subject I would have thought of to apply this technique to but it works well. As already mentioned, the contrast in color really make the runner stand out. My only suggestion is to significantly increase the amount of blur.

    Cheryl, Christopher, Dennis, Ken,

Thanks much for your comments. Cheryl, I've processed some shots of boats & such on the water in the tilt/shift style but it was some time before I started posting here, so it's not likely me you're thinking of.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, Very nice work with the tilt shift processing. The effect seems to soften the background in just the right spots. The runner with the red is perfectly placed.

Hi Michael, very nice effect. The runner is wearing the perfectly colored shirt..he really stands out. Does it need a slight rotation? The bridge looks a little off to me.
