Default So I bought a card reader...

I am having major problems with it! I bought an ATP proMax reader. I could not get the images downloaded into DPP so imported them via LR3.
So then I put my CF card back into my 1D MK IV and when I checked the playback button the screen says "No images" but when I go to the menu and click on the format page it says I have 13GB on the card.
I am wondering what is going on. Any ideas?!!
    Thanks
    Gail

Gail, I did a quick check on some reviews for that model- there are several out there that says this card reader corrupts cards. http://www.amazon.com/ProMAX-Flash-M...owViewpoints=0 But you did get the images to import, correct?

Sorry to here this, Gail! I have had four different card readers and never had one problem like this? I am currently using a Kingston multi reader and it works very good for my laptop. I installed a card reader into my desktop that also works great (can't remember the make) I also have a backup Ecard reader that is a little slow but it plugs right into usb and works without any glitches. Good luck!

This one is quite good. Have one attached to my desktop and one in my camera bag. Excellent build quality and fantastic read speeds on pc's with USB 3.0 ports.

    Gail,

Looks like you CF card memory table got corrupted. Data/files are there but indexing table that tells where to read from is not correct. See if you can use a recovery software and recover it.

Thank you all. I will return the card reader. I was able to import my images so all is well.
