Yep, I didn't only take silhouette photos of this majestic species!! Here, on the morning while accompanied by Artie, this beautiful Sandhill Crane was busy preening...the only problem is that every time it raised its head it was angled away from me. I waited patiently for that one time it turned parallel to the camera, I was praying it would do so while its far wing was still drooped as I love the shape it gave!

Hi Dan, great pose captured here, and I like how the bill follows the line of the left wing. Tack sharp showing the feather detail nicely, and I do like the colourful BG . As you stated FF, did you capture this vertically?

Daniel this image pops so nicely on my screen, love the colors and low angle. Raised foot and lowered wing adds interest.

Lovely image with beautiful lines. Always rewarding when what you have pictured in your head happens. Whites do look hot to me too.

    Hi Daniel,

Also like it a lot, one leg, wing down, HA, and of course, the BG

Nice of him to finally give you the proper ha. I too like the shape the wing has created.
