I don't know the name of this flower but it was blooming in the bulb garden at Kanapaha Gardens Saturday. It was being visited by a bee and a lowly house fly. I used a slight Pixel Bender effect.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated

Cheryl, the pixel bender look is nice. I think the green in the background top left is a little distracting. I might try to fade it a little. Nice composition and lighting.

It doesn't bother me all that much, but I agree with Denise's comment about backing off the green one way or another. Just a little would probably work. I'd also be tempted to crop a small amount of the top and a larger amount from the bottom to give a square format with the upper divine proportion line running through the center of the flower. All in all, though, I like this a lot. The color palette, the Pixel Bender effect, and the subject work together to make this a very nice image.

Real nice flower comp, Cheryl, like your PB treatment and the texture it gives to BG. There's a pleasant sun-glow to the bloom. Nice overall softness, bee and fly add interest. I agree with toning down green a little.

Cheryl....I like this alot...alot to look at...I especially like the bud in the lower left and the fly....pixel bender worked well on the flower itself! Tone down the green!

Cheryl, while I agree with Denise about toning down the greens on the LHS, I really like the effect that Pixel Bender lends to this; I have to tell you, Pixel Bender and I don't play well together, so I am always amazed at some of the work others are able to coax out of it! I wish there was just a bit more room on the LHS between the unopened bud and the edge of the image...it seems a little cramped to my eye...and I might tone down the highlight in the center of the bloom JUST a smidge, but that's a matter of taste. Nicely done...beautiful filtering.

Lovely composition and processing. The flower stands out nicely. I think this is a Dahlia. I think you used just the right amount of pixel bender.
