    Nice Ian. I like the symmetry between the bird & the perch, the BG. Its sharp & the detail is really good. Nice HA too. The slightly open beak & the visible feet are a plus also. TFS.

    Hi Ian, nice job on the little Verdin - these birds are hard to capture! Very flighty little guys, but you got a nice pose and excellent results. Your techs are a little unorthodox. Why the high ISO and shutter priority? Not a negative since it worked so well, just curious what your thinking was.

    Thanks, folks. LOL, Kerry ... I could say it was planned that way, but it wasn't -- it was luck ... I was shooting something else in dark cover and this guy came out of nowhere above me. I took what I could get before he flew off.
