Travel, undergoing IV chelation for lead and mercury--24 sessions, finishing up the contest, writing for Outdoor Photographer, posting to the blog most every day, and writing Bulletins. And tomorrow is my grandson Sam's Bar Mitzvah; a houseful of guests is arriving today.
IAC, I made this image while leading an in-the-field workshop for 15 folks--we traveled by bus leaving at 5am--for the Tualatin River Festival this past weekend. Canon 800mm f/5.6L IS lens with the EOS-1D Mark IV. ISO 400. Evaluative metering +2/3 stop: 1/1000 sec. at f/8. NIK Color Efex Pro White Neutralizer to make the BLUE sing.
Don't be shy; all honest comments welcome.
ps: do visit the blog often to vote on the various contest categories; the winners of the Captive categories should be posted sometime on Friday. Comparing the public voting to that of the judge's will prove most revealing: www.BIRDSASART-blog.com

. Thanks a stack. Tomorrow is the big day. He is getting a 70-200/f.4L IS, at 1.4X II TC, and an EOS-50D from grandpa. He might faint as he loves photography. Did I mention that he is way-smart? His little sister Maya, 9, is getting a G-12 so that she does not feel left out on Sam's big day.
