Hi Johan, well exposed on the little guy - lots of detail in the blacks. Overall, nice and sharp too. Comp wise, I would either move him up in the frame a touch, as he's sitting a bit low in the frame ( a bit tight at the bottom ) or creating a vertical would work too. Great two tone BG. Rietvlei ?

    Welcome to BPN,
Great shot, sharp and well exposed good HA. I think this will better work in a vert 3:2 with the perch placed diagonally.

Wish my second post had been this good. Agree with others on the composition, and if it were mine I'd sharped the catchlight in the eye as well.

Agree with Above assesments on comp.....but techs very well handled. Easy tweaks to a very nic image.

How cute, and what an amazing background! Excellent exposure, good details, nice perch. I'm not a fan of the perch's shadow cast on the bird's belly though.

Loved the BG and the sharpness. Nice dof coverage on the bird. a little higher in the frame will do it for me. Well done.
