    Default Pied avocet

Yesterday at sunrise on Texel/Nederlande. Unfortunately, not very clean, but nature is not a Studio.

Nice detail, I really like the BG and the shade is well handled. Looking at the ripples it looks like it could use a CCW rotation. Very nice Frank

Great low POV. I like the BG and the pebbles. Great position of bird to show the curved, delicate beak.
I think the image looks level. Will wait for others to chime in.
I wish the bird had not been in the shade but one takes what nature gives!!

Hi Frank, good low angle, with a good feeding pose. Although the curled bill blends in with the pebbles, it still shows up well - sharp too. The overall exposure looks good, and I agree with Dumay that this needs a touch of CCW rotation. Killer upper BG.

Unsure on the need for rotation... BKGR is killer. Did anyone mention that the head is rotated away from us or that the WHITEs are a bit BLUE? The piece of grass/straw on the bird's coverts could easily be removed and just a bit of beach clean-up would have improved this a bit.

excellent details and a nice pose. I see a very subtle blue cast it would benefit from warming it up a notch. love those feather details!

    Thank you all.

I removed the blue cast in shadows, the grass and rotate 0,3 left.

I like your image alot, but even your repost shows a blue cast in the shaded bird and pebbles. From the OP I added lots of yellow and reds in "Color Balance" then in "Selective Color" I reduced the cyan and magenta to the whites. I've never seen this bird in person, but I hope the colour correction looks good to you :-)
