This is an oncidium hybrid (orchid) blooming right now in my greenhouse. I noticed today that there are a LOT of things blooming out there so I imagine I'll have some fun over the next few weeks trying to capture some of that.

Maureen, I absolutely love this! The soft almost monochromatic colors really work and I think it's just the right amount of fractalius. The curving stem is especially nice and the filtering you did looks like you added texture layers. Very nicely done

Excellent, delicate tones, Maureen. Masterful job with the capture ( image and isolation) and processing.

Who would've thought that brownish tones would work so well for orchids! I agree with Cheryl about the curving stem, and I like that the two flowers and the buds form a nice triangle. The subtle change in tones in the background are just perfect in their relation to the foreground. I hope we get to see more of your greenhouse treasures.

Maureen, Very soft and delicate. The pale color tones appeal to me. Nice job with the original capture and the processing.

Maureen, I really like this a lot. as Dennis mentioned, the triangle formed by the flowers and bud really holds this together well. The tones are lovely. To me it almost has a touch of an oriental feel to it. Very nice indeed.

A greenhouse! I keep thinking I'd like to have one, but then I think it would be too much work.
A delicate rendition of these beautiful flowers.
