    Hi Jim, your shooting angle works well, and I like the attentive stare. I have always enjoyed looking at these guys with their red and grey plumage, and in this, you have brought out the detail on the neck and head very well - sharp too. The light and colours of the BG have turned in your favour nicely.

    Nice pensive pose. Nice details in the neck feathers. I like the muted color scheme too. I get the feeling a very slight CCW rotation may be needed.

    soft light, ripples, pose....great great peaceful feel to this one. loved it Jim. IQ is incredible. you make the 40D sing.

    Beutifull image Jim with perfect composition. On my monitor though the colors seem undersaturated (somewhat washed out) and it would be nice to have crisper detail in the wing feathers.
