Harshad - great stand-off pose and comp works well. Looks like he wants to charge a toll for you to pass on the road. Detail looks good too.

    Harshad,

What a "classic" this is possibly one of the world's most beautiful beasts. So much more than a Cape Buffalo, hard to believe one Tiger can bring these down.

Yes they are so big nearly a one tonner with with an occasional large bull weighing up to 1,500 kg. But then Tiger is a Tiger

Not so easy , has to be experienced male tiger with energy to fight for 4 to 5 hours. But SHIVAJI WAGHDOH males in TATR keeps on hunts them , Feast for family of 4-5 tigers for more than a week :)

What a great looking creature. Love how you positioned him in the frame.

I love the whites on the feet and rump and head. Certainly more handsome than their African cousins.
I agree with Dumay, the trees at the top frame this nicely.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the road as it's often a topic of contention...though it doesn't bother me much...

Not much more to say but this animal looks very different to me. Have to agree that she/he is good looking however still prefer it's African cousin.

I guess you all are comparing this with Caper Buffalo , Cap Buffalo's India cousin can be THIS and not Gaur , Gaur can be compared with Bison , Here is Wiki Link

    Harshad,

The unbelievable classifications as to what are bovids (Duikers ?) has inevitably lead to my confusion, sorry for that.

Perhaps a better comparison at least in terms of size would be an Eland? Especially as this is another magnificent creature

    Hi harshad,
A very cool image. I like the way that the road has allowed for a clean background for the head. Well done and thanks for sharing,
    Mark.
