Was set up for a different pose when the bird turned and started fluffing out.
Caught the pose but the bird ended up on the wrong side of the frame and I ended up having to crop about 50% to get a decent composition. :(

Photographed a few days ago in Newburyport, MA.

Looking forward to your comments and critiques !

It is a cute shot but the cherries are sharper then the bird. I think your use of F5.6 give you a shallow dof. My opinion LOL

Pretty cool. Too bad you weren't a hair to your left, but you did well to make the best of an unexpected pose change.

It is sharp where it counts and the fluffed look is pretty neat.

The softness of the feathers in this image is appealing to my eye. A very nice image!

    Hi Mike,

This is very nice. Love the composition. I still think is a little too tight in the frame. Did you use fill flash in any of the series??

    Thanks!
