Default BNS in habitat and last light

Another BNS image, I like this one since it shows the spring nesting grounds. I chose a tighter crop for online presentation you can see the original composition on my site. Hope you like it

Very nice habitat image. Needs more room for virtual legs IMO.

good call Alan, the large version has more room. I cropped this one tight so details can be seen at small size.

Hi Arash, like the detail and the BG, itīs not a clean BG but In this particular case I love it, also prefer the larger version.

    Hi Arash,
The details in the blacks set my heart a-swooning! The IQ is superb and the light is lovely.
I looked at the larger version and looked through all of your stilt images and I am, as always, impressed. The shot of the stilt banking in flight is crazy good,

Normally such a busy bg would not work for me but the colors in this are so complimentary that I really feel it ads in this case. Leg crop noted. Your detail in the blacks AND the whites is awesome.

Beautiful image, Arash, love the detail you got out of the blacks and whites. Like the spots of color here and there in the BG. Very crisp. wonderful low, soft light. I see what you mean about cropping for presentation but I would still like to see the ideal comp on this site rather than having to click through to another image (partly because I have a slow connection and the high def one takes quite a while for me to load!)

Tack sharp and great IQ. From my screen I see some background noise.

Beautiful soft light and fantastic detail plus low angle. Great looking red eye, make this image IMO.

Hi Arash, you have nailed both the whites and blacks on the Stilt, together with the sharpness. Good low angle of capture, and agree a little more room below for this image will work.

That's surprising because the file is only 600KB (unless you still use dialup internet )

you are right...no noise in BG.

excellent details. just the right kind of side light. I like that habitat a lot...full of character. got some with Avocets like that( in that same habitat) last year but not the stilts.

Even for presentation here, I'd go with the orig comp. without cropping from bottom.

looks like sun must have been low. a warmer WB might convey that time of the day better?

Sadly, my connection is barely more than dial up! I have cable but it's quite slow, I am too far in the boonies to get dsl (don't even get cell service where I live!) very frustrating...
